Carrollton, Texas – June 9, 2009 – Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (OTCB:IZZI) today announced that Mr. Paul Matthews has been appointed to the position of President of B&B ARMR Corporation, its wholly-owned subsidiary.  He has taken on the duties of President in addition to his current duties as Chief Operating Officer.  It was also announced that Mr. Jay Foersterling, President of Integrated Security Systems, Inc. and President and CEO of B&B ARMR is leaving the Company to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Foersterling will also be vacating his seat on the Board of Directors.

 

Mr. Brooks Sherman, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Integrated Security Systems stated “The Board of Integrated Security Systems appreciates Mr. Foersterling’s years of service.  As the Chief Operating Officer of B&B ARMR, Mr. Matthews has been vital to the earnings growth of this subsidiary and he will inspire confidence and success at B&B ARMR in the future.”  Mr. Matthews added “I am excited about the opportunity to lead B&B ARMR and plan to be a major contributor to the earnings growth of Integrated Security Systems.”

 

Mr. Matthew’s background includes over twenty years of electro-mechanical product development and over fifteen years of experience in the security industry. Mr. Matthews has been with B&B ARMR since 2004, in the roles of Vice President – Product Development and Chief Technical Officer, in addition to the Chief Operating Officer role he has held since October 2005.  Prior to joining B&B ARMR, Mr. Matthews served in several managerial roles with Ultrak, Inc. (now part of Honeywell International Inc.).  Mr. Matthews began his career at Texas Instruments Inc.
