CANADIAN INDEPENDENT ELECTRICITY

SYSTEM OPERATOR

Irving, Texas – October 9, 2006 – Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (OTCBB Symbol: IZZI) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, B&B ARMR Corporation, recently received an order for it’s high security anti-terrorist access gates from the Canadian Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) in Ontario. The installation is an upgrade to bolster power plant perimeter security. The IESO operates both conventional and nuclear power plants and power distribution facilities throughout the Province of Ontario. Recent studies in the U.S. and elsewhere have focused on the security vulnerabilities of power plants and related facilities with a particular emphasis on controlling access to the facilities by vehicles. The use of civilian vehicles for hostile purposes or to deliver lethal payloads has been a key tactic in conflicts throughout the world.
