NORWOOD, LA—March 31, 2004—B&B ARMR Corporation announced today that its anti-terrorist products gained an order for seven Model 850 Portable Barriers for a project slated for the U.S. Federal Government.

B&B ARMR’s Model 850 Portable Barrier, a product released in January 2004, is designed to serve as an instant road block for event control or areas where foundation work cannot be safely or quickly enacted. With a crash rating of K4, the portable barrier is capable of stopping a 15,000 pound vehicle moving 30 mph, and with a mass of over 10000 pounds, this hydraulically operated unit presents a formable deterrent.

Model 850 may be rapidly deployed in an emergency situation and fully operational within 15 minutes and can be either manually or remotely controlled. The barrier is designed to be towed to position using a medium-sized pick-up truck or equivalent vehicle, and once in place the portable barrier lowers itself with built-in hydraulic jacks, ready for instant deployment.
